Situated in 22 acres of the beautiful Surrey Hills between Guildford and Horsham, they're a close-knit team supporting 75 students in school and college and 11 tenants in our supported living houses. As a Catholic provision rooted in Christian values, they welcome students and staff of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Day-to-day duties may involve:

In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience while supporting students in various ways, including:

  • Assisting teachers in creating engaging, supportive, and structured learning environments.

  • Working one-on-one or with small groups, helping students with activities both in the classroom and in the community.

  • Supporting with off-site activities like visits to leisure centres or local shops, helping students build life skills.

  • Encouraging teamwork and positive attitudes by facilitating shared ideas and activities among students.

  • Applicants must be 18+ and must easily be able to commute to the school

  • SEN experience or experience working with children is desirable but not essential

Training to be provided: Training for this qualification will be provided by ourselves at SCCU Group, an Ofsted good training provider. Our tuition is all delivered in the workplace and bespoke to your particular role.

  • Teaching Assistant SEN Level 3 Standard, 20 months practical with an additional 2 months End Point Assessment period.

  • Certificate in the Principles of Special Educational Needs - Level 3

  • Functional Skills in Maths, and English (if required).

Working Week and Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30 am – 4.15 pm (36 hours per week).

Salary: £7 an hour, with an automatic pay rise after one year (for apprentices aged 19+)
