Institution of Translation and Interpreting is looking for someone who is ‘tech savvy’ with a willingness to learn and thrive in a complex industry. Any previous knowledge on the benefits of using AI, and any other creative platforms such as Canva, Articulate, Photoshop and Video editing would be desirable.
The LMS Officer is responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and optimisation of the Learning Management System used by the organisation (D2L Brightspace). This role ensures that the LMS supports the learning and development goals of the organisation, facilitates the smooth delivery of digital content, and provides technical and user support to employees and customers.
Day-to-day duties may involve:
Manages LMS user accounts, roles, and permissions
Designs and develops engaging and effective online courses and learning materials
Research content topics by working closely with internal and external SME’s
Manages and organises content within the LMS
Monitors content usage and learner engagement metrics across all platforms
Ensures system security and data privacy
Troubleshoot technical issues and works with the LMS vendor for resolution
Monitors system performance and helps with platform upgrades and maintenance
Desired personal skills and qualities:
Strong technical skills
Experience with platforms such as Canva, Photoshop and Articulate (Desirable)
Video editing skills (Desirable)
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
